The brothers decide to build the Ultimate Hockey Rink to keep the masses entertained. Complete with rink side food and bevies, a lawnmower-turned-ice resurfacer, and their very own trophy: the Manly Cup.

Project Steps

Step 1

What can be more Canadian than playing hockey? Well, for starters, how about playing hockey on a frozen lake with a bunch of friends and lots of beer!?! And while Mother Nature has done a fine job of turning our lake into a decent rink, it’s always been our dream to get that ice as smooth, level and perfect as in the pro leagues.

Of course, getting the ice ready takes a lot of time and work – the pros get ‘er done in no time flat with expensive ice resurfacing machines but we wondered how hard could it be to construct our own using what was available at the cottage. So, this weekend, we transformed a riding lawn mower into a ice resurfacer we’re calling the ZamBROni. As with many of our Brojects creations, the ZamBROni serves a double-purpose – after its last spin around the rink, it converts into a lobster boiler for our post-game dinner.

We complement the Ultimate Hockey Rink with a few other Brojects originals: the Vodka Luge, for taking those other types of shots and the Manly Cup, our own championship trophy —that will make this weekend hockey game with the boys unforgettable.
