Inspiration has hit the boys on this project: what if they combine a smoke shack with a bourbon bar? The smoker is the perfect 'smoke screen' that will allow the bros to hit the bar while their wives think they are working hard on preparing food for dinner.

Project Steps

Step 3

To construct the Ultimate Smokehouse, here are some of the building materials and supplies we gathered:

• Old wood-burning stove

Ours is a cast iron beast that takes at least three strong people to move.

• Old phone booth

At our nearby metal scrapyard, we found an aluminum, cylindrical column-style payphone booth typically seen in airports and bus terminals.

• Metal heating duct pipe and fittings

Available at our nearest hardware store.

• Concrete deck blocks

You still have a few of these from ‎your Ultimate Outdoor Shower build, right?

• Corrugated galvanized steel

Weather-resistant sheet metal for the roofing, available at our nearest building supply store.

• Cedar (lumber)

For the deck platform, uprights, and roof supports.

• Maple (lumber)

For building the box for our smoking chamber.

• Pine (lumber)

For building our custom bar-top.

• Your favorite bourbon

We recommend Elijah Craig, Knob Creek, Woodford Reserve, and Pappy Van Winkle.
